Music Within
Richard Pimentel (Ron Livingston) begins his life as a fighter, and his life's work becomes a process of fighting for the rights of others.
Rising up from a childhood in a dysfunctional family, armed with a talent for public speaking and a winning personality, the young man makes his way to a Northwestern college, confident that he will ace his try-out for his idol Dr. Ben Padrow (Hector Elizondo), the coach of the winningest team in the history of the College Bowl.
But Dr. Padrow shatters his dream when he rejects him. Richard's immediate reaction is to enlist in the army for a tour of duty in Vietnam. During combat, the young recruit loses his hearing to a bomb blast, and has to deal with this newfound disability on his return to civilian life in Oregon.
Richard discovers that his disability and the struggle to transcend it is a defining moment in his fight for what he believes in. When he tries to help his friends, vets like himself and others with disabilities, to get work in an environment that treats them with pity at best and disdain as a matter of course, he realizes that he can make a difference. The friends who make up his close-knit clique are: Art Honneyman (Michael Sheen), a student wheel chair user with cerebral palsy who uses his rapier wit to deflect the prejudice that greets his disturbing appearance; Mike Stoltz (Yul Vázquez), a fellow veteran with a lot of rage and nowhere to put it; and then there is Christine (Melissa George), the passionate libertine who strokes Richard's ego and initiates him into the world of free love.
Together, the friends experience the currents of those turbulent times, and the wild, joyful energy of winning through confrontation and humor. Without his hearing Richard is all the more prepared to listen to the message deep within himself, and to carry that message to the thousands of people whose lives are improved by the movement he helps to organize.

Rails & Ties
Tom and Megan Stark always thought there would be time-time to have children, time to take that trip to San Francisco, time to fix the problems in their marriage. But Megan's illness and Tom's inability to face the possibility of losing her are stealing all the time they have left. All Tom can do is bury himself in his job as a train conductor, where at least he feels in control and everything runs on a predetermined track. Until now.
Tom's train has hit a car on the tracks in a tragic turn of events that, while not his fault, may still cost him his job. Worse, a young woman is dead and her son, Davey, has been left to cope with the loss of his mother, the guilt that he could not save her not only from the train but from herself...and the anger at the man he holds responsible: Tom Stark.
The accident puts the Starks and Davey on their own collision course. But instead of leading to tragedy, this crossing could mean new hope for a woman who has only one chance left to fulfill her dreams, for a man who must learn to open his heart before it's too late, and for a young boy who has never known the true meaning of family.
Warner Bros. Pictures presents the drama "Rails & Ties," starring Kevin Bacon and Marcia Gay Harden as Tom and Megan Stark and Miles Heizer as Davey. Alison Eastwood directed the film, marking her directorial debut.

Pushing the boundaries between fiction and fantasy, "Slipstream" is about the implosion of a man's mind. Felix Bonhoeffer (Hopkins) is an actor and screenwriter who has lived his life in two states of existence: reality and his own interior world. While working on a murder-mystery screenplay, Felix becomes baffled as his characters start appearing in his life; and his life starts slipping into his characters.

Master filmmaker Sidney Lumet directs this absorbing suspense thriller about a family facing the worst enemy of all - itself. Oscar-winner Philip Seymour Hoffman plays Andy, an overextended broker who lures his younger brother, Hank (Ethan Hawke) into a larcenous scheme: the pair will rob a suburban mom-and-pop jewelry store that appears to be the quintessential easy target. The problem is, the store owners are Andy and Hank's actual mom and pop and, when the seemingly perfect crime goes awry, the damage lands right at their doorstep. Oscar-winner Marisa Tomei plays Hoffman's trophy wife, who is having a clandestine affair with Hawke, and the stellar cast also includes Albert Finney as the family patriarch who pursues justice at all costs, completely unaware that the culprits he is hunting are his own sons. A classy, classic heist-gone-wrong drama in the tradition of "The Killing" and Lumet's own "The Anderson Tapes," "Before the Devil Knows You're Dead" is smart enough to know that we often have the most to fear from those who are near and dear.

Dan in Real Life
Something's happening to Dan. It's confusing. It's awkward. It's family.
"Plan to be surprised." -- Dan Burns, DAN IN REAL LIFE
A conflicted romance collides head-on into the perils of family relations with fun-filled results in Peter Hedges' fresh, clever and hilarious take on the slice-of-life comedy, DAN IN REAL LIFE. Comic sensation Steve Carell stars as an ordinary guy who accidentally stumbles out of his "play-it-safe" life into the exhilarating world of the unexpected when he falls in love on what was supposed to be a family getaway. Starring alongside standup star Dane Cook and Academy Award winner Juliette Binoche, Carell is about to discover a family weekend of chaos, confusion, awkwardness -- and ultimately, his entire family's extraordinary capacity for love in the face of left-field surprises.
It all begins with widowed father and family advice columnist Dan Burns (Carell), who is still reeling from the heartache of loss and takes refuge by trying to maintain order with his three rebellious young girls, while dodging anything unexpected or outside the box. But when Dan heads to Rhode Island, his miffed daughters in tow, for the annual Fall weekend thrown by the large and boisterous Burns family, everything changes. Soon after his arrival, he runs into an alluring woman named Marie (Binoche) in a bookshop. For the first time in a very, very long time, Dan experiences real, live sparks -- only to have to douse them liberally when he discovers Marie is, in fact, the brand new girlfriend his brother Mitch (Cook) is about to proudly introduce to the family.
As the weekend gets underway in the close quarters of a crowded house filled with quirky, prying relatives, Dan and Marie try to squelch and cover up their growing mutual attraction at every turn, leading to one comical situation after another. Yet, no matter how hard they try to do the very opposite, Dan and Marie can't help but fall in love. Now Dan is about to realize, that no matter how wise safety might seem, when it comes to real life, he's going to have to break all the rules.

Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas
3D So Real, It's Scary.
"Twas a long time ago, longer now than it seems, in a place perhaps you've seen in your dreams..."
Santa in Tim Burton's THE NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS
This Halloween, everyone's favorite nightmare will return -- in another dimension. On the occasion of its 13th anniversary, Tim Burton's hippest of holiday classics, THE NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS, will make a ghoulishly groundbreaking comeback to the big screen, seamlessly transformed into stunning Disney Digital 3D. This dazzling new makeover offers a frightfully fun, eyepopping trip into a universe of magic and wonder that remains unlike any other. The film's transformation was led by the original filmmaking team of Academy Award®-nominated writer/producer Tim Burton ("Charlie and the Chocolate Factory," "Corpse Bride") and director Henry Selick ("James and the Giant Peach") -- and was turned into reality through an intense, frame-by-frame digitizing process spearheaded by the technical wizards at Industrial Light & Magic and driven by a passion for the film's visual splendor and timeless (not to mention occasionally headless) characters.
Donning their state-of-the-art, polarized 3D glasses, audiences will now have the chance to get truly up close and bone-rattlingly personal with the film's cast of mischievously macabre ghosts and goblins. They'll be transported directly into the three-dimensional center of the haunted house-like environs of Halloweentown as its bored Pumpkin King, Jack Skellington, attempts to take over the festive Christmas season for a change of pace. Against the advice of Sally (Catherine O'Hara), the lonely rag doll who has secret feelings for him, Jack enlists three trick-or-treaters -- Lock, Shock, and Barrel -- to help him kidnap Santa Claus. But even when Jack realizes his mistake, he'll have to contend with the evil Oogie Boogie before he can turn things around and restore the holiday's cheer.
Fueled by an unforgettable Grammy®-nominated soundtrack featuring ten infectiously spooky songs by Oscar nominee Danny Elfman ("Corpse Bride," "Big Fish"), who also provided the singing voice for Jack, Tim Burton's THE NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS 3D will be released in conjunction with a new soundtrack album from Walt Disney Records that revisits the music in equally fun ways. The two disc set will feature Danny Elfman's acclaimed original score, four never-before-released demos from Elfman and a new twist: a collection of covers of the film's most favorite songs from such popular artists as Fall Out Boy, Fiona Apple, Marilyn Manson, Panic! At The Disco and She Wants Revenge. THE TRANSFORMATION A landmark film in its genre, the 1993 release of THE NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS combined the power, enchantment and artistry of stop-motion animation with technological wizardry to create a moviegoing experience that captured the hearts and imaginations of millions of die-hard fans. It simultaneously became an all-time family favorite and attained permanent cult status among the cool. Just as its playful, pitch-perfect sense of Halloween fun made it a holiday standard, its mischievously dark humor and no-holds-barred creativity has made it an enduring video hit among college kids and hipsters -- who admire it, quote it, sing it and even dress the parts at Halloween. For years, every Halloween has been turned into NIGHTMARE season at Hollywood's legendary El Capitan Theatre, which screens the film each October to ever-growing audiences.
Part ghostly love story, part upside-down holiday celebration and part toe-tappingly offbeat musical, this NIGHTMARE was always multidimensional. But now, the classic film that had audiences falling in love with one of the most painstakingly handmade of all animation processes has been brought hurtling into the 21st century and transformed for a new generation to experience in Disney Digital 3D, expanding its legacy of innovation.

Wristcutters: A Love Story
From the moment Zia (Patrick Fugit) cuts his wrists and enters a bizarre afterlife reserved for suicides, this film becomes a strangely uplifting, darkly comic tale about a journey through the hereafter. This is a world where everyone still bears the scars earned from the manner in which they "offed" while the everyday reality is a twisted mirror image of our own mortal world.
When Zia begins his search for his long lost love, he encounters a variety of memorable individuals, be it a disillusioned suicide bomber or an angel in disguise. But it is in Eugene (Shea Whigham), an inscrutable Russian musician, and Mikal (Shannyn Sossamon), an accidental tourist, that he finds his closest friends. This trio of lost souls forms an uncommon bond as they set out on a journey across the afterlife in search of what they could not find in their previous lives.

Driving his son back to his ex-wife, Lucas' mother Ruth Wheldon (Academy Award winner Mira Sorvino), Dwight heads towards his fateful encounter at Reservation Road. The Ten Commandments
Condemned to die by Pharaoh while just a baby, Hebrew Moses is set adrift on the River Nile by his mother and his sister. Rescued by the daughter of Pharaoh, he grows up thinking he's an Egyptian prince.
Eventually exiled from Egypt when he is exposed as a Jew, he is touched by God, and told that he will lead his enslaved Chosen People to the Promised Land. With the hand of God firmly on his shoulder, and with faith as his only weapon, Moses performs miracles, casts down plagues, evades a pursuing Egyptian army, parts the Red Sea and, after forty years of leading the Hebrew Chosen Ones to the Promised Land, is embraced by God and led to a better place.
What makes this version of "The Ten Commandments" unique is that it highlights Moses’ family, both real and extended, on this long journey.
Filled with high adventure, the miraculous, and a gentle sense of humor, "The Ten Commandments" showcases Moses, the reluctant prophet, who was the only man in Biblical history to see the face of God and call him 'friend.'

The Comebacks
The producers of "Wedding Crashers" spoof the greatest sports movies ever.
With a track record that boasts such successful comedies as Wedding Crashers, The Wedding Planner and the recently released, Employee of the Month, it is no wonder that Fox Atomic approached the partners at Tapestry Films to produce THE COMEBACKS.
"Since we do a lot of youth oriented and big four quadrant comedies," begins producer Andrew Panay, "I think they thought we might be right for this kind of material. They sent us the script, we read it and we jointly agreed that this was something that we thought was hilarious and exciting. I think most everybody has seen a sports movie or a sports drama. How much fun would it be to poke fun at those movies and also poke fun at the sports world just in general on a large scale? It was perfect for our company."
"We thought it was terrific," agrees producer Peter Abrams. "There were some very, very funny bits... and it needed a great director that could put his stamp to it."
To this end, the filmmakers hired director Tom Brady. Coming off of two comedies geared for the young audiences, The Hot Chick and The Animal, Brady seemed a good match for this material on several levels.
"We looked for a director and found Tom Brady," recalls Abrams. "One of his strengths besides directing, is that he's a writer... So, Tom brought his keen sense of humor to the material."
"I read hundreds of scripts looking for that special one," begins director Tom Brady. "When this one came along, there were a couple things that got me. No one had really parodied or made fun of these sports movies yet. And so that hook was great.
But in particular what got me was there's a story there. They're real characters, each character had its arc. And there was the potential for a big movie with real actors and real people and real emotion and if done right to have your cake and eat it too. You can root for these people all the way and feel all the things you're supposed to feel in a sports movie, but make fun of it all along the way; and poke fun at all the clichés and conventions of all these typical melodramatic, overly dramatic sports movies that we've all seen."
Creating a film that did not just go from joke to joke or from skit to skit was important to all the filmmakers. They agreed that if they created a story with characters that the audience could get behind and root for, the jokes would play off that foundation and ring true.
"Tom has been absolutely fantastic," comments co-producer Michael Schreiber. "It's always good to have a director who knows what they want. He has a clear vision of this movie and he's able to vocalize that. So you know exactly what you're getting."
"I just had a vision for the film from the beginning," recalls Brady, "that if you play the stakes real and if the characters feel human and three dimensional, then you have a real movie. And then on top of that, you have that level of parody and the big stunts and the cameos-then you have everything you want in a movie."
Finding the right actor to play Coach Lambeau Fields was critical. Not only did the filmmakers need a comedic actor, but someone who could imbue the character with realism and heart. Into the shoes of the Coach stepped David Koechner for whom the role could not be more tailor-made. Having appeared as an extremely strong and memorable supporting player in such big screen comedy successes as Anchorman, Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby, The 40 Year Old Virgin, and Reno 911, the filmmakers knew he was up to the challenge of playing the leading man.
"David and I met for breakfast," recalls Brady. "I just wanted to see that he was the guy that I thought he was. And within 10 seconds, we were both laughing and I knew in fact that he was the guy."
Brady remarks, "He was the perfect actor for the role . I think he's one of the finest comedic actors working today. He's just ready and he brings it all. He's so likable. He's compassionate. He can modulate his performance. He'd be very dramatic if he needs to be. And sometimes that's what's most funny."
"The thing about David that's so fantastic," comments Panay, "is that he's a real actor. He's such a good actor, who happens to be really funny. He's not just a comedian who's one note. This guy has so many layers -- he's got so much heart. And how do you not root for Dave Koechner? I think that's the biggest quality he has --- you cannot not love this guy!"
Koechner's comedic talents were indeed appreciated by everyone on set, although his antics often brought with them an acting challenge for those trying to do a scene with him. Many of his fellow-actors were continually brought to the verge of hysterics.
As Matthew Lawrence recalls, "He's just nailin' this character. I mean we have so much fun. He goes on these rants and when he adlibs---it's just hysterical. And it's really hard sometimes when you're opposite him, to keep a straight face."
"In the first couple scenes I had with him, it was kind of intimidating because he's so quick you don't really know where he's coming from," reflects the youngest cast member, 17-year-old Martin Spanjers who plays too-little-to-play Randy. "And he broke me a couple times. I started laughing. I had to turn my head so it wouldn't ruin the shot. But you just have to go with it and let it naturally happen. And finally, I got more comfortable. But he's just really funny. I mean this is his thing. This is his movie."
To sum it up best in the words of newcomer George Back, "He's probably the super-omega-ultra-coolest dude ever in the history of the world."
On the other side of the gridiron is Coach'es friend-turned-nemesis, Freddie Wiseman, played to perfection by Carl Weathers. Best known to filmgoers as Apollo Creed from the Rocky films, Weathers is a true icon in the world of sports and sports films, and the perfect choice to play the coach's nemesis.
"Carl Weathers is a true movie star," comments Brady, "always bringing enormous charm, intelligence, and an epic quality to all of his film roles. You can't get more charismatic than Apollo Creed, or help be in awe of his character in The Predator or of Action Jackson. I knew Carl could be hilarious. He was also a former football star at San DiegoState and played with the Raiders! All of these things made him a natural and perfect choice to play Freddie, Coach Fields' friend and mentor." "He's incredible," comments Abrams. "He is not wildly crazy like Dave can be but in a very straight ahead way. He's very, very funny especially when the two of them play off of each other."
Once next-door neighbors, Brady and Weathers had talked about working together casually in the past. But once the script for THE COMEBACKS was ready, the conversation became much more specific. "Tom came to me," recalled Weathers, "and said 'I've got this movie, and I think it'll be really good. I'd love for you to be in it and I want to send you a script.'
"Well, lo and behold a script came and I read it and it was really, really funny. And when we started working together, Tom was a joy. I've always really enjoyed working with the directors who really support you as an actor and really gave you an opportunity to bring as much to the table as you can."
With a long history both in front of the camera and as a filmmaker, Brady did indeed take to heart comments and suggestions that the experienced and well versed Weathers brought to the table.
"Carl is also a filmmaker in his own right and brought an intelligence and 'big picture' view to the project," Brady comments. "Incorporating Carl's ideas really elevated the third act to a new level!" Once Koechner and Weathers were in place, the next step was to find the prefect group of young actors to play the rag-tag team of misfits that make up The Comebacks. "When we went through the casting process," recalls co-producer Kevin Sabbe, "we really searched for young talented actors who we felt were going to be the next big thing. And more than anything, we searched for talent who was really, really funny."
From the more experienced Matthew Lawrence, Robert Ri'chard and Martin Spanjers, to relative newcomers George Back, Jermaine Williams and Jesse Garcia, the cast all brought humor, energy and a willingness to go the distance (even over the line!) to bring the team to life. Additional team members Noureen DeWulf and Jackie Long, as well as young Brooke Nevin, who plays the coach's daughter, round out the cast.
"We found a group of very talented young actors who are all funny," comments Abrams. "I think it helps to have a funny piece of material, but we also have a really skilled group of kids working."
Director Tom Brady remarks on the cast, "I was looking for gifted actors who brought something extra special to the table - a brilliant spark, a comedic twist - actors who, although their roles were inspired by somewhat 'stock' types, who would transcend those roles and make them original and lasting film characters." He continues, "Most of the roles for the team members, I discovered during casting - which I consider to be one of the most important parts of the process."
Brady continues, "Without exception, I was pleased and every member of the team took their parts to a new level. The amount of talent on this set was insane, and I anticipate that we'll all look back five years from now and say, 'how did they ever get George Back, Robert Ri'chard, Jackie Long, Brooke Nevin, Noureen DeWulf, Martin Spanjers, and Jermaine Williams ALL in one film!'" In a few cases, Brady had worked with talent involved in the film before, so he had the advantage of already knowing what they could do.
"I worked with Matthew Lawrence on "The Hot Chick" and knew he would make the perfect Lance," comments Brady. "Matt brings an enormous amount of integrity to every role he plays. His portrayals are airtight, and as a leading man he is incredibly versatile. He is natural, confident and a 'guy's guy,' and he is also strikingly handsome and can play the vulnerability of romantic situations like very few actors his age. Matthew is also a solid, well-balanced guy who has easily made the transition from child actor (Mrs. Doubtfire) to teen idol to adult leading man. This is a guy who can be a huge film star." The young talent was eager to be a part of a comedy of this level and to have the ear of the filmmakers - Brady in particular - to listen to their ideas. "He actually sat each and every one of us down for about an hour session just to give him our ideas about our characters," recalls Jermaine Williams, who plays IPod, the Coach's side-kick.
In addition to the talented central cast, the filmmakers couldn't have been happier with the dozens of other talented actors, comedians and athletes who agreed to appear in the film in cameo roles. Although most of them only worked for a single day, the results are surprising, hysterical and satirical. Much of the success in booking these people is credited by producer Abrams to having shot the film in Los Angeles and to the presence of Koechner.
As Abrams explains, "We just found a group of very talented people that allowed the film to be chock full of cameos. It was our considered opinion that if we stayed in Los Angeles we'd have a better chance to get people to come play for a day. As opposed to going somewhere else, where a day plus two days of traveling might mean they wouldn't be able to do it.
"But also, when we went out to find actors and comedians to come do cameos, when they found out that Dave was the star, they all signed up because they all love him. Within the comic actor world, he's revered - everybody loves Dave Koechner and they think he's brilliantly funny."
From the world of sports, the list is stellar and includes Super Bowl winners, a World Series ball player, top NBA talent and sportscasters. Among those appearing in the film are ex- football stars Eric Dickerson, Lawrence "LT" Taylor and Michael Irvin, retired mega-stars Dennis Rodman and Bill Buckner, as well as John Salley, Chris Rose, Frank Caliendo, and Stacy Keibler.

Meeting Resistance
What would you do if your country was invaded? "Meeting Resistance" raises the veil of anonymity surrounding the Iraqi insurgency by meeting face to face with individuals who are passionately engaged in the struggle, and documenting for the very first time, the sentiments experienced and actions taken by a nation's citizens when their homeland is occupied. Voices that have previously not been heard, male and female, speak candidly about their motivations, hopes and goals, revealing a kaleidoscope of human perspectives. Featuring reflective, yet fervent conversations with active insurgents, "Meeting Resistance" is the missing puzzle piece in understanding the Iraq war. Directed by Steve Connors and Molly Bingham, this daring, eye-opening film provides unique insight into the personal narratives of people involved in the resistance exploding myth after myth about the war in Iraq and the Iraqis who participate. Through its unprecedented access to these clandestine groups, "Meeting Resistance" focuses the spotlight on the "other side" leaving the viewer with clarity as to why the violence in Iraq continues to this day.
"O Jerusalem" meticulously re-creates the historic struggle surrounding the creation of the State of Israel in 1948. At the center of these events are two young, American friends - one Jewish, the other Arab. The film is told from the alternating viewpoints of the Jews, Arabs and Brits, all of whom collide in their fight for the control of Jerusalem while bringing to the forefront themes of courage, terrorism, deprivation, politics and a strong sense of morality. Their involvement takes them from the streets of New York to The Holy Land, where they risk their lives - making incredible sacrifices along the way - to fight for what they believe in, as the city of their dreams teeters on the brink of destruction.

The Final Season
How do you want to be remembered?
In the small town of Norway, Iowa, everyone comes together for high school baseball. But life throws curve balls; and the passionate young players, rookie coach Kent Stock (Sean Astin), and the hometown fans find that life's greatest challenges strike off the diamond. The Final Season is the true story of a coach who inspired his team and brought hope to a town when they needed it most.
Kent Stock (Sean Astin) had some mighty big cleats to fill when he stepped in for Jim Van Scoyoc (Powers Booth), head coach of the Norway Tigers, the most formidable high school baseball team in the history of Iowa. A school with only 100 students in a town of 586 people, the beloved Tigers won 20 State Championships in 26 years and the admiration of the entire town. Claiming that Norway grew ballplayers "like corn," Coach Van Scoyoc picked a winning team of 14 boys year after year, young men who grew up watching their older brothers, family and friends win state titles before them, and like a lucky glove passed down through generations, the coveted championship trophy was now theirs to win.
But in 1991 the Norway School Board decided it was going to merge Norway with a nearby high school in Madison, thereby shutting the school forever and crushing the town's hope of keeping their baseball tradition alive. Turning a deaf ear on the community's cries of protest, town officials refused to renew Coach Van Scoyoc's (Boothe) contract, and hired Kent Stock (Astin), a former girls volleyball coach, to lead the team in their final season.
Suddenly apathy instead of cheers met the Norway Tigers and their coach. Rumor had it that a Tee Ball player had a better chance of hitting a Nolan Ryan fastball than the Norway Tigers had of taking their 20th State Championship. Even the boys on the team had given up, fumbling grounders and dropping flies that they could have once fielded in their sleep.
But the rookie coach wasn't about to let the Tigers or the town give up. Like the champion he expected each one of them to be, Stock challenged the boys with words to live by: "Ask yourself one question," he said. "How do you want to be remembered?" Their collective answer made the Tigers start acting like the accomplished ballplayers they knew how to be. And as the team rallied, so did the town. The players, the coach and all of Norway began to believe that the Tigers had one more victory in them before the school closed forever. How did the Norway Tigers want to be remembered? As winners!
Based on the true story of one of the greatest dynasties in high school baseball history, The Final Season is about digging deep within to find the courage to triumph against all odds.

Tyler Perry's Why Did I Get Married?
...Because no one inspires me more. ...Because we complete each other's sentences. ...Because two are stronger than one. ...Because every moment we share is better than the last.
Following the success of his previous films DIARY OF A MAD BLACK WOMAN, MADEA'S FAMILY REUNION and DADDY'S LITTLE GIRLS, Tyler Perry returns with his fourth feature film, TYLER PERRY'S WHY DID I GET MARRIED?
A big-screen adaptation of Perry's hit stage play of the same title, TYLER PERRY'S WHY DID I GET MARRIED? is an intimate story about the difficulty of maintaining a solid love relationship in modern times. This heartwarming and often hilarious story looks at four couples on vacation struggling with issues of commitment, betrayal, redemption and the road to forgiveness.
When these eight married college friends reunite for their annual retreat in the snowcapped mountains of Colorado, they come expecting fun and relaxation, but get a completely unexpected surprise. Career-drive Dianne (SHARON LEAL) and her supportive, but fed-up husband, Terry (TYLER PERRY), are joined by popular psychologist and best-selling author Patricia (JANET JACKSON) and her architect husband Gavin, (MALIK YOBA), who share a secret tragedy that finally comes to light, while Angela (TASHA SMITH) and Marcus (MICHAEL JAI WHITE) argue constantly, but remain in love. Also in attendance is their good friend Sheila, (JILL SCOTT) a sweet woman with a distorted self-image stemming from weight issues that are exacerbated by her emotionally abusive and philandering husband, Mike (RICHARD T. JONES).
Unlike any other year, this trip changes the dynamic of the group with two new additions: Sheila's supposed girlfriend, Trina (DENISE BOUTTE), who is secretly sleeping with her husband; and Troy (LAMMAN RUCKER), an ex-Wall Street stockbroker who has put his career on hold to care for an ailing father.
Nothing could create more drama then placing these ten people in a secluded cabin for a long weekend with all of the dirty laundry waiting to come out. Everybody's asking 'WHY DID I GET MARRIED?'

Bobby Green (Joaquin Phoenix) has turned his back on the family business. The popular manager of El Caribe, the legendary Russian-owned nightclub in Brooklyn's BrightonBeach, he has changed his last name and concealed his connection to a long line of distinguished New York cops. For Bobby, every night is a party, as he greets friends and customers or dances with his beautiful Puerto Rican girlfriend, Amada (Eva Mendes), in a haze of cigarette smoke and disco music.
But it's 1988, and New York City's drug trade is escalating. Bobby tries to keep a friendly distance from the Russian gangster who is operating out of the nightclub - a gangster who is being targeted by his brother, Joseph (Mark Wahlberg), an up-and-coming NYPD officer, and his father, Burt (Robert Duvall), the legendary deputy chief of police.

On the third day of his honeymoon, Eddie Cantrow (Ben Stiller) believes he's finally found true love. Unfortunately, it's not with his new bride.
"The Heartbreak Kid" is an outrageous comedy, liberally seasoned with the patented over-the-top humor of directors Bobby and Peter Farrelly ("There's Something About Mary," "Dumb and Dumber"). Raucous and side-splitting, "The Heartbreak Kid" piles outlandish antics on top of wickedly twisted sight gags to create a hilarious comedy of errors.
After years of bachelorhood and ample pressure from his father, Doc, (Jerry Stiller) and best friend Mac (Rob Corddry), Eddie starts to wonder if he is being too picky about the women he meets. So when a chance encounter with an alluring blonde named Lila (Malin Akerman) leads to a sweet romance, Eddie impulsively proposes. But right after the wedding, as the newlyweds get to know each other on the drive down the California coast, Eddie begins to realize he's made a terrible mistake. Soon after reaching their exotic Mexican hideaway, he falls for the down-to-earth Miranda (Michelle Monaghan), who has no clue he's on his honeymoon. Now Eddie has to find a way to extricate himself from his days-old marriage without losing the girl of his dreams.
DreamWorks Pictures Presents A Radar Pictures/Davis Entertainment Company/Conundrum Entertainment Production "The Heartbreak Kid" starring Ben Stiller, Michelle Monaghan, Malin Akerman, Jerry Stiller, Rob Corddry, Carlos Mencia, Scott Wilson and Danny McBride. The film is directed by Peter Farrelly & Bobby Farrelly from a screenplay by Scot Armstrong and Leslie Dixon and Bobby Farrelly & Peter Farrelly & Kevin Barnett. Based on the screenplay by Neil Simon.
Unmarried and just turned 40, sporting goods store owner Eddie Cantrow (Ben Stiller) is on the sidelines of the dating game when he attends the wedding of his former fiancée. Feeling like the whole world has paired off except him, and egged on by his libidinous octogenarian father Doc (Jerry Stiller) and henpecked married friend Mac (Rob Corddry), Eddie is primed for a romance. Now all he needs is the girl.
After he interrupts an apparent mugging on the streets of San Francisco, Eddie meets Lila (Malin Akerman) and the pair quickly embark on a whirlwind romance, which leads to a hasty proposal. On the way to Mexico for their honeymoon, Eddie discovers his new bride not only has the face of an angel, but a trucker's vocabulary and a nearly insatiable appetite for hilariously athletic sex. By the time they reach the swanky resort, Lila has transformed from a gentle and sweet life partner into a crass, tequila-swigging wench with a sordid past, leaving Eddie wondering what he's gotten himself into.
After Lila refuses to leave their hotel room because of the sunburn to end all sunburns, Eddie consoles himself at the bar where he strikes up a casual conversation with Miranda (Michelle Monaghan), a laid-back high school lacrossed teacher who is as wholesome and grounded as Lila is flighty. Soon, the miserable newlywed is manufacturing excuses to leave his bride behind and spend time with Miranda. As he falls for Miranda's down home allure, Eddie tries his best to level with both women. But a series of misunderstandings leads to a wildly funny confrontation among a man, two women and a Portuguese man o' war.

Michael Clayton
The truth can be adjusted
Michael Clayton (George Clooney) is an in-house "fixer" at one of the largest corporate law firms in New York. At the behest of the firm's co-founder Marty Bach (Sydney Pollack), Clayton, a former prosecutor from a family of cops, takes care of Kenner, Bach & Ledeen's dirtiest work. Clayton cleans up clients' messes, handling anything from hit-and-runs and damaging stories in the press to shoplifting wives and crooked politicians. Though burned out and discontented in his job, Clayton is inextricably tied to the firm.
At the agrochemical company U/North, the career of in-house chief counsel Karen Crowder (Tilda Swinton) rests on the settlement of the suit that Kenner, Bach & Ledeen is leading to a seemingly successful conclusion. When the firm's top litigator, the brilliant Arthur Edens (Tom Wilkinson), has an apparent breakdown and tries to sabotage the entire case, Marty Bach sends Michael Clayton to tackle this unprecedented disaster and, in doing so, Clayton comes face to face with the reality of who he has become.
George Clooney stars in the title role of Michael Clayton, a "fixer" at Kenner, Bach & Ledeen, a top Manhattan law firm. A former criminal prosecutor from a working-class neighborhood, Clayton is an anomaly at the white-shoe firm; in spite of his 15-year tenure, he has not been promoted to partner and probably never will be. His boss, Marty Bach, sees Clayton as an invaluable asset to the firm, but only in his "niche," one that is relegated to cleaning up the firm's sticky situations quickly and quietly. "While Michael is great at solving other people's problems, the film catches him at the apex of dissatisfaction with his career," says Clooney, who also serves as an executive producer on the film. "He started out with ambitions of becoming a trial lawyer, but along the way what he really becomes is a bag man."
"Michael Clayton is a 45-year-old attorney who feels that he hasn't done everything that he could have done with his life; he's starting to think he should have done something else, or could have done better," says writer-director Tony Gilroy. "He's made some bad choices and a lot of compromises. He has come to the point in life where his next few decisions will determine everything about him.
"How we make those choices -- how fear, comfort, inertia and self preservation bend us to the wheel -- that's the fuel for the story," offers Gilroy. In the midst of his discontentment, Michael Clayton is sent to defuse Arthur Edens, Kenner, Bach & Ledeen's chief litigator. The defense architect for the U/North case, Arthur suddenly suffers a crisis of conscience after finding a "smoking gun" memo that exposes the client's moral turpitude. The character is played by Oscar nominee Tom Wilkinson, who notes, "It is very much a 'road to Damascus' moment.
Arthur's an expert lawyer who has been at the top of his game for years, but comes to a realization that he's been defending a cancer." "Given the infinity of destructive moral choices that are made every day by people who know what they're doing is wrong, it's always amazed me that there aren't more whistleblowers. When you consider how much is wrong, how deep that wrong is, and how much of it's done by people who go home and pay their taxes and love their children, isn't it astonishing how few actually go off the deep end?" says Gilroy. "Tom's character is one of those magnificently intelligent madmen who can convince any judge, jury or plaintiff to drop or settle a case. It's why he's so good at what he does and makes the kind of money he makes. But at the end of the day, what's the real cost?"

Have fun!
This is a film which contains nothing in theme, language, nudity and sex, violence, etc. which would, in the view of the Rating Board, be offensive to parents whose younger children view the film. The G rating is not a "certificate of approval," nor does it signify a children's film.
Some snippets of language may go beyond polite conversation but they are common everyday expressions. No stronger words are present in G-rated films. The violence is at a minimum. Nudity and sex scenes are not present; nor is there any drug use content.
PG:"Parental Guidance Suggested. Some Material May Not Be Suitable For Children."
This is a film that clearly needs to be examined or inquired into by parents before they let their children attend. The label PG plainly states that parents may consider some material unsuitable for their children, but the parent must make the decision.
Parents are warned against sending their children, unseen and without inquiry, to PG-rated movies.
The theme of a PG-rated film may itself call for parental guidance. There may be some profanity in these films. There may be some violence or brief nudity. But these elements are not deemed so intense as to require that parents be strongly cautioned beyond the suggestion of parental guidance. There is no drug use content in a PG-rated film.
The PG rating, suggesting parental guidance, is thus an alert for examination of a film by parents before deciding on its viewing by their children.
Obviously such a line is difficult to draw. In our pluralistic society it is not easy to make judgments without incurring some disagreement. So long as parents know they must exercise parental responsibility, the rating serves as a meaningful guide and as a warning
PG-13:"Parents Strongly Cautioned. Some Material May Be Inappropriate For Children Under 13."
PG-13 is a sterner warning to parents to determine for themselves the attendance in particular of their younger children as they might consider some material not suited for them. Parents, by the rating, are alerted to be very careful about the attendance of their under-teenage children.
A PG-13 film is one which, in the view of the Rating Board, leaps beyond the boundaries of the PG rating in theme, violence, nudity, sensuality, language, or other contents, but does not quite fit within the restricted R category. Any drug use content will initially require at least a PG-13 rating. In effect, the PG-13 cautions parents with more stringency than usual to give special attention to this film before they allow their 12-year-olds and younger to attend.
If nudity is sexually oriented, the film will generally not be found in the PG-13 category. If violence is too rough or persistent, the film goes into the R (restricted) rating. A film's single use of one of the harsher sexually-derived words, though only as an expletive, shall initially require the Rating Board to issue that film at least a PG-13 rating. More than one such expletive must lead the Rating Board to issue a film an R rating, as must even one of these words used in a sexual context. These films can be rated less severely, however, if by a special vote, the Rating Board feels that a lesser rating would more responsibly reflect the opinion of American parents.
PG-13 places larger responsibilities on parents for their children's moviegoing. The voluntary rating system is not a surrogate parent, nor should it be. It cannot, and should not, insert itself in family decisions that only parents can, and should, make. Its purpose is to give prescreening advance informational warnings, so that parents can form their own judgments. PG-13 is designed to make these parental decisions easier for films between PG and R.
